Left hand press downward at left side to balance the right. 2/ Site back to the right hip joint. Right chest sink, brings right elbow down. Palm turns Shun. Curved from upper right side into the position about 6 inches in front of your abdomen. Slightly left up left knee ready for the move backward. Left palm finger point up, pinky side face forward protecting your front. 3/ Torso moves toward left back sit into the left hip joint. Left palm and right palm join together pulling downward (remember is the torso move backward perform the pulling effect, not the arms drawing back.) Right foot left up point at the side of left foot. 4/ Right foot step up forward, Right palm turn to Ni. It moves from the front of abdomen all the way to 6 inches in front of your forehead. Left palm press downward, Ni. Left foot follows up and point at the side of right foot. 5/ bring both hands to the middle; weight sits on your right hip joint ready to step left. 6/ repeat 1 to 5 but switching from the right side to the left side and so forth after.Instruction Level: Dynamic1/ The upper hand drive down while the lower hand rise up. 2/ Step backward and use torso rotation drag the lower hand upward and outward. 3/ Make another step to the side, two palms joint together, front toe point to the ground. 4/ Step forward, hand on the front leg side curve upward palm face outward, one foot away from fore head. The rear hand stay low, press downward for stabilizing while rear foot toe point beside front foot.Instruction Level: DynamicAt this angle you can observe left side movement, both arm and steps: 1/ from right hand in high position start. Step to left side and torso rotate to left, drag left arm a circle outward and upward. 2/ from the left hand at high position, coming lower with step to right and step left backward. At this point while left hip joint sit solid at the left leg, it also drag left shoulder downward. This is the source of left arm's movement. what is the conclusion? Your arms never move by themselves. Is the steps, torso rotation drive initiate the movement. Arm just like a two joint sticks pointing at the direction your intention goes.Instruction Level: DynamicThis should be the same as the left side view. Only you can follow this view to practice your right side.Instruction Level: StaticFrom this view you can clearly observe how weight has transferred between two legs within stepping. The weight transfer is done through waist rotation. It is not a big rotation, but like 5 to 10 degree.
