Type Of Changes exercised in Taichi

7
There are few type of changes that we can study in TaiChi exercise.
1/ Breathing
2/ Shapes
3/ Speed
4/ Rigidity

The combination of all these variables creates an extremely wide platform for us to experience. The breathing and the associated internal manipulation will be considered the core of internal martial art training, or Nei Gung. And the shapes, speed and rigidity variation is the expression of or body structure. They could be considered as external Martial Art training, or 'Wai Gung'.

These two parts of training are equally important in our Taichi searching. 'Nei Gung' likes the design of an engine (power), sensor and fuel system of a car. A good Nei Gung training give us a durable and powerful power source. On the other hand, Wai Gung training is the structural framework, steering, transmission, breaking and suspension system of a car. Without the support from them, the power of engine could not be used effectively.

The design of Chen style Taichi guide practitioner through the above type of change. Like a periodic pendulum, each type very from one boundary to the other. Through oneself awareness, we discover the path of change described in the following sections.
